you don’t know what to do? ....

But you have never been married before.

What to do first?

There are so many decisions to make!

Where, time, colour,

who will be standing up with you?

Who pays for what,

and who do you invite, .

Step 1! Getting Started

Breath....

Maybe you have been making plans since you were a little girl, maybe you have a scrap book or two. So maybe you do have an idea!......

The first decision to make is the venueOnce you decide where the wedding is going to be, you decide on the time. That helps with the colour theme, and the style and perhaps even the theme of the wedding.

"Who pays for what" is very important. You shouldn't have to take out a loan for this wedding. A budget is important, very important. A decision about who pays what has to be taken and a commitment made.

Some families share it down the middle.

Some take a more traditional route where the girl’s family pays for most,

and the guy’s family  only does the drinks. Other more modern couples do it

all themselves. There is no right or wrong way to who pays for what.  But a

budged stays important. A budget planner is a good idea. It gives you the

structure to work around.

Then you can start thinking about the invitations.

The Girls, Marlaine and Monica, will give you lots of practical advice. They work out the fairest price, so your budget is important to them. They have been doing this for 11 years. 11 years of giving advice and picking the brains of brides. They then convert these pickings into the most extravagant, beautiful, elegant pieces of paper art workMarlaine is a Certified Florist trained by the well known Sandy Rodgers. Monica spent time in Australia and got an Advanced Diploma of Art & Design (Animation).

The Printed material can be simple, or ultra extravagant. The paper that we use is mostly handmade, but all imported from either Italy, Japan or India, they have lovely textures and colours. The plain papers and card boards complement the colours of the beautiful accent papers. The range goes from the slight sparkle in the Stardream to the most luxurious flocked (feels like velvet), foiled in bright jeweled colours or embossed in intricate designs.

The font can be extravagant or plain. Capitals in swirls, and script is something more easy to read. We have a whopping 2000+++ number of fonts. Plenty to choose from.

Ribbon comes in a myriad of colours.

Satin, organza or both in Marlaine’s perfect bows. She learnt the skill of making these at the feet of her precious Granny, and each one comes out the same. An art indeed if you have tried to copy her. Buckles are square, round, rectangular, or heart shaped. They just add a certain amount of flair, glitz, and glamour to a design.

Butterfly Scroll Holder  Invitations

The idea behind the creation of this invitation was that the butterfly is bringing the invitation to you.

The client provided me with a small little image that I enlarged so many times it became quit fuzzy to say the least.

So the question was how do I do this? I had a look at this thing, and some how I new how to make it...

I need board, paper, beads, glue, wire, glitter and bling studs. And the main thing..... Melody!

If you don't know who Melody is, let me tell you... She is our brilliant KNKMAX Blade cutter, and can cut out almost any thing Monica can design on the computer...

So.... Monica started designing...

and this is the result, a beautiful butterfly in Silver and Plum.
